Configure Unisphere service access

Secure Service Credential (SSC) is a feature that offers secure authentication, access control, and auditing for service personnel working on a specific product at a customer site. SSC authentication bypasses RSA SecurID multi-factor authentication when the latter is enabled.

To configure Unisphere service access:

Steps

  1. From the main menu, click Unisphere for PowerMax.
    The home dashboard view is displayed.
  2. Select a storage system.
  3. Go to the left panel and click Serviceability > Applications > Unisphere > Service Access to open the Service Access view.

    SSC authentication bypasses RSA SecurID multi-factor authentication, if RSA SecurID multi-factor authentication is enabled.

  4. Select one of the following radio buttons:
    • Block—Blocks access to an embedded Unisphere for an SSC user.
    • Allow—Allows access to an embedded Unisphere for an SSC user.
  5. Click Save.
